Veggie Garden

Saturday so far has been awesome! Met for the second time with my running group this morning :) I am so excited to find a runner that has the same pace as me!! I honestly have never really run with anyone before. All my races I have done, I have always done alone. Time goes by so much faster when you are with someone else. I have also enjoyed getting to know other women who enjoy running like I do. So glad that I finally had the nerve to just go!! Today I managed a 6 mile run. I love how I feel when I am done. A hot sweaty mess:)

After my run today I made sure I went home to stretch!!! I am terrible about taking the time to do and but am so glad I did. I felt great and I really do not need any injuries! My Iron Girl half is a week from tomorrow!

While I was running my husband was home working in the garden. Funny how our garden has always been referred to as "my garden" has pretty much become my husbands!! We have learned through trial and error what to plant and what not to plant. I love my gardening book and its full of post-its for me to refer back to.

We started out with one raised garden bed the first year then two years later we added another.

I will take pictures in a few weeks of my gardens progress. You will be amazed how fast it all grows. This year we are growing cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, hot peppers, yellow squash, zucchini. I may have left something out. Super excited!!!

My new goal at the grocery store, is to turn my bland beige grocery cart, into the most colorful cart in the market:)

This was just the beginning:) I went to the store when I got off work Friday to load up for the weekend. It is suppose to be a rainy chilly for the next few days. I always feel better when the house is full of healthy filling choices.

I have some exciting news!!! Facebook had a contest to for a free entry for a local half marathon, not far from my house. I wanted to run it but there was not way I could afford to enter another. So far in 2012 I have run a half, ten miler and have another half in a week. Well, guess what??

I WON!!!!

So, now I have 2 half marathons 1 week apart!!! Could not be more excited and one is a free race!!
