Weigh In Wed


Awesome week of workouts and amazing food!! This morning I was up early for 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill wearing the weighted vest. Great way to start my long day!! FitBloggin & Pictures!!!

I was nervous since it was the first time I would be driving into Baltimore by myself. I had the GPS programmed and my instructions written on an index card. We were all meeting in the hotel lobby at 11:30 where buses were taking us to the McCormick Spice Company in Hunt Valley, MD.

My drive into the city went perfectly and I was super excited to arrive at the hotel without getting lost. While waiting in line I notice another woman waiting too and asked if she was with here for Fitbloggin. She said yes and there was my future roommate!! Since we both had our own rooms, I asked if she wanted to room together. The thought of staying in a hotel room alone did not sound fun to me! Amy and I hit it off right away and she really made weekend so much fun:)

I have decided to post about all the awesome bloggers I met this weekend. I know so many other bloggers have gone into great detail but I want to highlight my favorite things from the weekend.

Roni put the entire event together. She has an amazing weightloss story!! I actually won the tickets to Fitbloggin through her blog:)

Monica was one of the first blogs I started to follow. So excited to finally meet her! I also enjoyed her Discussion: Blogging- How much is too much??

 These Texans made my weekend! Lexi and Carman from Firelitesfire. I was super excited to meet them. They spent so much time talking with me and giving some blogging advice. We enjoyed the beautiful weather while walking around the harbor and even ate some frozen yogurt together. They were so kind.

Tina I feel like a giant next to you!! I forgot my book for her to sign:(


Julie from Pbfingers is one of my daughter Kaitlyn's favorite bloggers! She was super sweet when I asked if I could get my picture taken with her to send to my daughter! This girl is the real deal. A full time blogger and amazing writer. Her blog is awesome.

Amanda from Runtothefinish. She is a crazy runner and was kind enough to offer me some quick training advice for my upcoming full. I also scored some Oakley shades from her as well. WIN!!!

I cannot wait to run in these!!! Thanks Amanda!!!

JumpSport Fitness Trampoline BOUNCE camp was awesome!! My body is still sore from this class!!

I learned so much this weekend to make my blog that much better so expect some changes in the near future!! I am super excited about it too!!!

Weigh In & Yoga

Woohoo! Down 2 pounds!!!

My morning started off early with 30 minutes on the elliptical wearing the weighted vest. I had wanted to get a few miles on the treadmill but my ankle was not feeling it. Trust me, wear a weighted vest and you will sweat!!! Then I needed to get ready for work. I had to get my clothes ready for yoga tonight and I packed a few more things for Fitbloggin!

Food journal for Wednesday.

I left work at 5:50pm so that I would get to yoga by 6:00pm. Tonight's class was a special class by candlelight. Two instructors were in the room and they were helping to ensure you were preforming the poses properly. There was attention to detail and I love that! I want to make sure that I am doing these poses correctly so it was nice that there was an instructor walking around the room, not to say anything at the time, but to tweak you when needed. When the class ended I spent several minutes asking a few questions and got some help in areas that I needed. 

The room was so pretty as the sun started to set. The candlelight beautiful.


After the class light refreshments were served along with wine or hot tea. I choose some hot green tea and it was good! I am not much in to hot tea, but tonight I really enjoyed it. It was another great class and I think for my birthday this year I would love to have my girls and a few friends join me for a private class and go for a light lunch afterward. That to me sounds like the PERFECT birthay! Watch for your invites friends!!!

Time to paint my nails and finish packing. I will be up early getting in a good workout before heading to BALTIMORE! Super excited!!!

Nervous Excitement!!

So much going on lately that I have not been blogging as much!! Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Wednesday's I work until 6 then I am going straight to my yoga class. It is a special class that will last an hour and a half. Lots of individual instruction by candlelight, light refreshments along with wine or tea. I am really looking forward to it. I could use some help on a few poses!! 

Then I will be heading home to finish packing for Fitbloggin!!! Super excited yet super nervous too. This is honestly the first time I will be going away for a few days alone. I know that sounds weird but I have never stayed in a hotel room alone. Even though Baltimore is only about an hour away I have never driven into Baltimore alone either!! Let me just get myself to the hotel and then I will be fine. It will be so fun to meet other bloggers and there are so many of my favorites attending!!! First on the agenda is a tour of the McCormick Spices Headquarter in Hunt Valley MD. We are meeting in the hotel lobby Thursday morning then taking buses over. We have been told to come hungry! There will be plenty of cooking demonstrations and learn all about their spices. Thursday evening will kick off the event with a Welcome Mixer and Badge Decorating Party. By this point I hope to have made plenty of friends!!!

After work I headed over to Old Navy to check out their new skinny jeans/cords and some pretty amazing colors!! 

I loaded up tons of stuff and headed to the dressing room.

I honestly was not wild about them. I liked the fit of the cords better then the jeans. They are SUPER SKINNY!! I am usually an 8 but they felt snug all the way down to the ankle, but the 10 were too loose in the waist. I loved the blouses. The colors are all so pretty. Even though we will be wearing workout clothes for the most part this weekend, I still wanted to have a few nice blouses.

Last night I did a mile on the treadmill then switched to the elliptical. I wore the weighted vest for the entire 45 minutes that I worked out and had a great sweat going!! Today, I decided it was a rest day. I hope to get up early tomorrow to get a few miles in before heading to work!! I am nervous about missing my long run on Saturday and I have to figure out when I can make it up!!! 

My packing has begun. I wish I knew what everyone else was packing or wearing!! I wonder how dressy the evenings will be? Worried to wear heels and do anything to mess with my ankle. I guess I will find out soon enough. :)

Doing Big Things!

Thanks for all your kind words concerning my swollen face!! I am doing much better, but have had to ice it the past few morning. The swelling is not nearly as bad as it was, but still has me totally freaked out. I honestly hope that it was the lotion, but have a hard time believing that lotion could cause that!! Several have asked what the lotion was. I love Bare Minerals and use several of their products. I decided to change the BM moisturizer that I have been using for a few years to their new tinted moisturizer. Now I am totally freaked out about changing any of my make up!!

I opened a Twitter account. Now you can follow me at Fitnwoodine45. I am excited to give this a try and follow some of my bloggers/healthy living favorites!! It is something that I need to do if I want to grow my blog. Another way of growing my blog is by attending Fitbloggin12.



I am SO excited to attend and learn all sorts of new stuff. Three day full of seminars, fitness classes and amazing swag bags!! Excited and nervous at the same time. I have never stayed in a hotel room alone before and I do not know anyone going!! Yikes! I will have so much to share!!!!!

Saturday morning I got up early to do my long run. 16 miles was on my agenda. I ran the first 2 alone then my girlfriend from my running group ran the next 8 with me. I was on my own for the last 6. The weather was absolutely amazing for running. Cool breeze, no humidity along with beautiful sunshine. It was 6:30 in the morning when I started out and the first 2 miles felt great. My ankle feels really really good. The next 8 flew by since I had a friend to talk to. Honestly, when I was at mile 9 I felt awesome. I can tell the training is really  starting to show. At mile 10 I took a GU and parted ways with my girlfriend. I was alone again.... glad that I had my ipod with me. The music helped to distract the next 6 miles and I was running through town and had plenty to look at. Mile 15 my right knee starting to really act up. I could tell it was my IT band and I would be doing lots of foam rolling. I did a lot of walking/running my last mile. I can tell you that I did not fuel properly and should have planted water or worn my belt. So happy to have completed the 16 and a PDR!

I have continued with my weekly yoga class. I really love it. I only have one good pair of yoga pants that I bought a few years ago from Victoria Secret. They are a light sage green. This past week the room was a little warmer and we were doing some different moves that caused me to sweat more then usual. I was sweating right up my butt crack!!! lol I seriously looked like I have wet my pants!! So Friday I was on HauteLook and they had a really good deal on their AZIAM yoga pants. I ended up purchasing these Karma flared pants in navy. Reg 88 for 30. Woohoo. I will let you know what I think about them.
