Happy for the Weekend!

Yay, Friday is finally here!! So much going on again this weekend and I can't wait. I have to admit, with all the stuff going on, I have a hard time getting things done around the house. I have my running group in the morning and then a cookout at 4 with friends. I have to manage my time wisely!!

Breakfast. No bananas:(

Snack of almonds and string cheese! Love this snack.

Lunch. PB sandwich on ww, Triscuits and cheese wedge. Sugar free Jello.

Afternoon snack of watermelon. I filled this bowl several times. So good!

Next time you open a bag of chips, count out the portion size. It will really surprise you!

Dinner was leftover pizza. I do not like food to go to waste so we had no choice!

After dinner we headed to the high school. Our youngest daughter Taylor is graduating and they were having a "senior show." She mentioned that she was singing a song and a friend was playing the guitar for her. Let me explain. Taylor might sing driving in the car but she does not perform in front of people sing. We were amazed!! Please check out the YouTube video!! She did so good.

It's Warmin up

Today it was finally sunny and beautiful. It warmed up to the mid 80s but  felt humid.
I had plans to play tennis with my girlfriend, but she had to cancel. I have loved playing tennis and it is a nice change. So, after work I decided to do a few errands and go for a run after dinner.

Breakfast usual.

Morning snack.

Lunch.

Around 2:30 I headed over to the mall. Today was the start of the VS 7 panties for $26. I knew exactly the style I wanted (cotton string bikini) and I only needed to decide on colors. I was happy to get exactly want I wanted. Then I passed by this little stand in the mall....right by my exit!

I have NEVER had this before!!!

I know it sounds crazy, but I have been reading on several blogs about this joint, so today was the day!!! I got the chocolate with rainbow jimmies and it was amazing!!! Plus, it was only about 100 calories!!! What???

After I finished up at the mall, one of my daughters called to see if she could help me get dinner started. I figured I would keep it simple and suggested a large salad and a frozen pizza.

Check out all the salad toppings she prepared!!!! Thanks Kelsey!!

Salad size plate just veggies, chia seeds and fresh guac.

I had 2 slices and added my own turkey pepperoni.

After dinner I got in a 4 mile run. It was humid and I worked up a great sweat. Feels good!! Tomorrow is Friday. We have so much going on again this weekend. Looking forward to seeing lots of family and friends.

Not Runnin Outside Today!

Wow, every time I thought the coast was clear and I could head outside to run, another storm would roll in. So instead I am getting ready to go down and jump on the treadmill. I do not like running on the mill so I will probably put on the 10lb weighted vest and use the incline to get a great sweaty workout. Hopefully, there will be some good shows on tv to entertain me.

Usual.

Morning snack.

Lunch.

In the afternoon I snacked on homemade guac, hummus and carrots.

Dinner was SO good!! I made chicken with honey Dijon mustard and almond slivers, asparagus and sliced sweet potatoes. So so good!!

So good!! This is a dinner size plate. I enjoyed the potatoes plain and when I baked the asparagus, I just sprinkled pepper and Kosher salt. The chicken was so incredibly tasty!!! I saw this on a Dr. Oz show:)

The treadmill is calling my name!!!

Wednesday Weigh In

Up just a little. I enjoyed the excitement of the past weekend. I am back on track:)

Mammogram and the Dermotologist

So, today I scheduled some very important appointments. First up was my annual mammogram. I am faithful about going every year and thankfully I had not had any problems. I love that I can schedule these appointments early in the morning so I do not have to miss any work.

Love the small dressing room mirrors! Oh, and my bra and tops hanging. The blue robe was a nice color:) Once I was done there I headed to the building across the street to visit my dermatologist. I had not been in 3 years!  I was just a little concerned but after a thorough body check (crazy how they even check your scalp and between your toes) I was given the all clear.  My doctor said to keep up the faux tan (lol) and they would see me in a year! Woohoo.

After my appointments I stopped by a local Starbucks for my much deserved green tea.

I ate my breakfast on the way to the office.

Went to the Starbucks next to my office for a refill and grabbed lunch. Spinach wrap and popcorn.

My late afternoon snack was a banana and almond butter. This is so good. Was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Dinner was chilli. I used ground turkey, diced tomatoes and several different kind of beans. I ate this bowl and went back for just a little more! I also had 2 slices of wheat french bread. Good and filling.

Dessert was strawberries. Lots of good strawberries. Wow, I got off track with my eating on Sunday and Monday. Today has been better but it has been hard!! After dinner I really wanted to go for a run but my husband asked if I wanted to go for a walk. No way was I going to turn him down if he freely wants to get some exercise. He has a lot of stress at work and walking would do him some good. We walked for about 45 minutes and did 2.5 miles. Not enough of a calorie burning workout for me but I enjoyed our time. Tomorrow a five miler is on the agenda!!

Get your mammograms ladies!!!

College Graduate!

So excited for daughter #3, Kelsey Ann. Today, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland!!

Kelsey

My four daughters! We now have 3 college graduates to brag about and we will be sending off our forth daughter in the fall for her freshman year. Crazy how time flies. When they were little, everyone would say, "Enjoy them while they are young....they grow up fast!" I was so exhausted then, that I thought that would never happen!! Well guess what?? It did and I could not be more proud.

My family. Love them!

Proud parents...

After the graduated we went to celebrate at a favorite restaurant. Obviously, no one was looking!!

We made her wear her cap during lunch!!

We had a great day!!! It was an early graduation so it was nice to go and have a wonderful celebration lunch afterward. Everyone was able to take off work and we enjoyed the entire day together. No workout today. Just family time:) Too much exciting stuff going on but I have continued to take pics of my daily eats and I will start that back up tomorrow. I am sure I consumed way too many calories, but this was the time to enjoy and not feel guilty about it.

My Sunday in Pictures

We were headed for the Potomac River but we were both tired from our late night, that we went to a lake closer to our house. It was a fun time!! So relaxing.

Saturday afternoon, John loaded up the kayaks so we would be ready to go on Sunday.

So nice!! Wish we could have stayed out there all day. I think everyone in the house took a much needed nap late this afternoon. We have another busy day tomorrow. Monday, daughter #3 Kelsey Ann, is graduating from the University of Maryland!!!! 3 daughters with college diplomas and 1 more to go! Super proud Mama!
