Productivity

John and I were up bright and early this morning. My ankle was sore from my run yesterday but not as bad as it had been last Wednesday morning, so I was happy about that. I have a five miler planned in the afternoon tomorrow, so I may get it taped again to see if that will help. Today is a rest day for my ankle for sure.

Breakfast was a stop at Panera. I was still in my flannel PJs, so my husband went in and grabbed a few multi grain bagels. We sat in the Jeep and enjoyed them before going thru the Starbucks drive thru. I wanted to take my husband for a little drive this morning. Since joining my running group about 8 months ago, I have wanted to show him some of the routes we run. He could not believe some of the hills we endure and was not too happy with some of the very narrow streets. I assured him that since we run so early in the morning the traffic is very very light. I was excited to show him where we run and I know that he is proud of me:)

Once we got back to the house it was time to get busy. Since the weather in MD today was kinda crazy (one minute it was sunny and beautiful, the next it was pouring down rain), it was not worth making plans to be outdoors. First up was the pantry. I completely emptied it. Then I vacuumed every crumb I could find before organizing/tossing and putting everything back. The hall closet was next and then I tackled the large shoe bucket in the garage. I cannot begin to tell you how many shoes we have with so many girls! We have always taken our shoes off in the garage before entering our house. This is why we have a "shoe bucket." Seriously, the flip flop situation is out of control!!! I had someone say that my garage looked like an orphanage because of all the shoes! I had laundry going most of the afternoon only stopping to switch things to the dryer and folding. This job lead me to several drawers in the kitchen. I have always had a "school" drawer. Well, I went through that drawer, and by the time I was done it was empty! I no longer have a school drawer. Tomorrow is the first day of school for our county, and for the first time in 20 years I will not have child going............wow.

Lunch was a Subway veggie on whole wheat with a bag of baked chips.

My treat for the day. I love a York every once in a while.

Dinner started with a salad.

I also enjoyed a bowl of high fiber Progresso bean soup.

Grabbed an apple on the way up tonight for my dessert. I have lots of laundry to put away. Today was a super productive day and will make going to work in the morning much easier.

Do you enjoy a productive weekend??

FAB Saturday!

I always love a good weekend!!

Early morning run!! Got in a 13 miler with this girl.....

Jess. She ran the MCM last year and offered to meet for a few of my long runs. We had a great time touring Westminster. We ran through McDaniel College and all of its beautiful sidewalks and even ran one lap around their track while the football team was practicing. We headed into old town Main Street and ran past all the beautiful shops and the amazing smell of the bakery before ending at a small airport. Saturday morning in MD could not have been more perfect for a run. Low humidity and cool temps make for a fun enjoyable run with my awesome company!! Thanks Jess!!!

After today's run I felt really good. Like good where I did not feel the need to get home for a nap or a mad dash to the bathroom!! I think the weather being so nice had a lot to do with it. So after my run I stopped at Starbucks for my green tea. I took my jeep to emissions. I headed back to Main Street for a bagel. I visited two of those neat shops I saw while running. I stopped by my daughters house for a quick visit before I headed home to shower!!!  That is how good I felt!!

Foam roller meet compression socks. Compression socks meet foam roller.

After I showered I put on my socks and did some foam rolling. I would really like to get a pair of the sleeve compressions. They just cover your calves and great for wearing under jeans. I would even wear them to bed. Definitely on my wish list!!

Then it was time to head to our friends for a Caribbean Feast!! A chef was coming to their house and preparing an amazing meal and we need to look the part. Here I am with "April" the hostess!! It was also a treat for all four of my daughters to be there!

The house was decorated with a Caribbean theme and the food smelt amazing!! April and Joe know how to throw a party. Plenty of food, drinks and awesome company.

Yes, I wore my compressions socks with flip flops. This is why I need the sleeves! lol

My daughter Jennifer. She just had a baby 4 weeks ago!!!!

Now for the FOOD!!!

AMAZING!!!! Not even sure I got a picture of everything!!!

I started off with this beautiful salad.

The mashed potatoes were my favorite. They have apples, eggs and onions! The tasted so good!! There was also some beautiful cake for dessert along with some gluten free cupcakes! I did enjoy a few of those:)

No margaritas for me, but I did add an umbrella to my Starbucks!

Thank you Prevost Family for throwing an amazing dinner party!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Funday

My Saturday started off with a 7 miler. It was AWFUL. It was way too hot, humid and hilly!!! I was mad at myself for walking some of the hills. It was just one of those runs that does not go your way. Making me question everything about my running abilities!!!

After my run, I headed to the grocery store. Yes, I was dripping sweat but I was going anyway! I was super excited to see this sign. Watermelon for $2.98??? That never happens. Glad I waited until today to buy one. Yesterday was National Watermelon Day!!! For this price I bought two!!!

I had half a banana and half a Clif bar before my run. On my way to the store I finish the other half of the Clif and tossed the banana. It was warm from sitting in my car! Gross!! When I got home I was starving. So my lunch was a multi grain bagel with PB and grapes.

All the girls had plans today, so my Friday night "date night" continued on into Saturday. After lunch, I showered and got ready to head out. We had no real plans and my husband suggested Annapolis. He asked if I wanted to head over to that running store I like. Lululemon??? Yay!!!!!!!!

Fun day of shopping. Check out what I got!!

I had a coupon for a FREE pair of hip hugger panties. Hard to tell in the picture, but they are navy blue with lime green dots and lace trim.

I already had the T mug but wanted to get a J for John. I love these http://www.anthropologie.com mugs and they are only $6.

I am so excited to hang this in the foyer by the front door. It is a square glass vase ($24) that you hang on the wall. The store is Arhaus. They have amazing furniture and home furnishings. I will post a pic when I get it hung. Besides the vase, I was really excited about the bag. It is a reusable burlap bag that I love!! My husband said I should have just asked for a bag and would have been happy!

We purchased a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Cleo's. I have always wanted to go to a store like this. You can sample all the oils, and they have bread to dip and taste. The store was beautiful. It is also owned by two sisters and named after their grandmother.

After testing several, John and I settled on this one.

Super excited about these!!! I have been wanting a pair of these Run Inspire Crop pants!! I have heard great things about these running crops and they will be perfect for fall running. Going to LuLulemon is a huge treat for me and it is either my birthday or Christmas!! I usually only walk out with one item because of the cost!! Nice addition to my running wardrobe.

We had to try out the frozen yogurt that Annapolis has to offer!! Besides, shopping makes you hungry:)

Do not feel bad for my husband. We did stop by Bass Pro on the way home. He spent a whopping $9. Yes, we are big spenders. NOT!!

How awesome does my dinner look?? We got back to the house around 8pm and I was hungry. I grabbed a few whole wheat tortillas (50 calories each) and piled on the veggie and sprinkled with 2% cheese.

I had to do something with these beauties from my garden.

I put one on top of the other. It was delish!!!!!!!!

Wow, it is after 11 and I need to get some sleep. The Olympics are keeping me up too late!!

Friday!!!

I love Fridays!! Looking forward to the weekend. It is a great time to get caught up on things around the house and see the girls and my husband. Our evenings during the week seem to be so busy lately. Everyone has been going in all different directions!!! What happened to relaxing summers???? Just wish I did not have to spend so much time on the weekends getting my chores done!

Clif & banana.

Kashi cookie.

Lunch. People can say whatever they want about my food choices. I still say it never hurts to eat the same things during the week. My food works for me. I know what makes me feel full. I like knowing the calories in the items I choose. Would I rather enjoy a salad for lunch, instead of the same old almond or peanut butter sandwich? Of course I would, but there is no way I can eat a salad where I work. I tend to save the big salad for dinner a home. I also love protein shakes but never seem to give myself enough time in the morning before work to make them! That is why I always have a bar and banana. I just do what works.

After I got off today I had to take daughter #4 (right), Taylor May to the doctor. She needed to get a few shots before she goes away to college in the fall. She is 18 years old and still sees the pediatrician and she is still afraid to get a shot!

She still managed to rock a paper gown!

Yogiberry:)

Dinner was a foot long veggie with yellow mustard on ww along with a bag of Sunchips. This was so good!! I have my running group in the morning and the plan is for 10 miles. My knee bothered me last Saturday during our 8 miler, so I hope it holds up. I really enjoy the women that I run with. After our run everyone meets up for a bagel. I have not gone for a bagel in several weeks because it always seems like something is going on that I need to get to. Tomorrow, I plan on joining everyone for a bagel.

Time for the Olympics!!
