Weigh In

I was really happy to see the number was lower this week!!

Yes, this is a picture of my ankle taped. When doing my speed work yesterday, I started to have some pain in my right ankle. It was around mile 6 so I really slowed down and tried to rest it. Well, last night my ankle kept me up most of the night. Just so so sore. This is when it comes in handy to have a physical therapist for your boss!! We are going to try this taping/ice and 2 full rest days and see what it feels like Friday. I have been so upset about this all day long!! My first injury after several years of running. I have a training plan that I have been following and these rest days are going to throw me off.

Short post. I have an busy early morning. We are taking our youngest daughter, Taylor off to college tomorrow. We enjoyed a big family dinner with all the girls tonight for them all to say their goodbyes.

My Sunday in Pictures

We were headed for the Potomac River but we were both tired from our late night, that we went to a lake closer to our house. It was a fun time!! So relaxing.

Saturday afternoon, John loaded up the kayaks so we would be ready to go on Sunday.

So nice!! Wish we could have stayed out there all day. I think everyone in the house took a much needed nap late this afternoon. We have another busy day tomorrow. Monday, daughter #3 Kelsey Ann, is graduating from the University of Maryland!!!! 3 daughters with college diplomas and 1 more to go! Super proud Mama!

Rainy Tuesday

Rained all day today! We could use it so I am not complaining:)

Breakfast was the usual but I added a hard boiled egg.

snack

Lunch was the usual.

Afternoon snack. These are very filling!

Watermelon was so good that I filled this bowl up twice!

Dinner was a meat burger on a ww bun with mustard/mayo and Alexia onion rings.

Starting next week, I have so much going on for the next few months!! Daughter Kelsey is graduating from UMD (woohoo we will have 3 college grads! 1 more to go!) and our youngest daughter is graduating HS!! I have 3 nephews graduating this year as well as our oldest daughter having a baby!!! So many graduation parties coming up along with a baby shower and a few weddings to attend. All very exciting stuff but a perfect time to say, "I am too busy to exercise!" or "I don't have time to make dinner, let's just eat out!" Well, I say MAKE the time!! Exercise is absolutely the best thing you can do for stress and your body will thank you for eating well :)
